The design challenge
From an abstract asset to something tangible.
Cryptocurrency is an abstract digital asset. Poolocart introduced it through a physical, giftable card—something that could be purchased, held, and passed to someone else.
That meant designing across two mental models: the card had to feel tangible, while its value still had to be activated, stored, exchanged, and tracked digitally.
The product model
One idea. Three coordinated surfaces.
The response was not a single interface. It was a connected product system with a distinct job for each surface.

01 · Website
Turning a complex product into a clear buying journey.
The website was designed to introduce the card concept, communicate value, and guide users from discovery to activation.

02 · Mobile wallet
Turn the card into usable value.
Make value visible, enable scanning and redemption, and support exchange and activity review.

03 · Admin system
Keep the lifecycle manageable.
Make products, orders, payments, and transactions visible and actionable.
The bridge
From card in hand to value in wallet.
The core journey was designed as a sequence rather than a collection of isolated screens.
- 01
Discover
Understand the physical-card product.
Website - 02
Choose & order
Select a card with a defined crypto value.
Website - 03
Receive
Take ownership of the physical card.
Physical product - 04
Scan
Use the barcode or QR code to begin activation.
Mobile wallet - 05
Redeem
Move the value into the digital wallet.
Mobile wallet - 06
Manage
Review balances, exchange, and activity.
Mobile wallet
Customer experience · Website
Make an unfamiliar product feel legible.
Selected evidence from the public-facing experience.

Public experience
Explain the product before asking for action.
The website combines the proposition, card values, exchange context, product detail, activation guidance, and a path into the mobile wallet.
Introduce the physical-card model.
Make product value comparable.
Connect purchase to activation.
Design Intent
Turning complexity into clarity.
Every page was designed to reduce complexity, reinforce trust, and guide users naturally toward understanding how the product works.

Customer experience · Mobile wallet
Make redemption feel immediate.
Where the physical product becomes usable digital value.

The scan is the bridge
What you own. What it is worth. What you can do next.
The wallet keeps crypto and local-currency values, asset lists, quick exchange, transaction history, and the scan action close together.
Keep currency representations available where they support understanding.
Give scanning a prominent place in the navigation model.
Keep exchange and activity review close to the wallet state.
System thinking · Admin system
Make the invisible operation legible.
The operational layer behind the customer promise.

Control center
See the state of the product operation.
The admin panel makes the lifecycle visible across products, cards, users, orders, payments, transactions, finance, support, and staff access.
Operational jobs
Three needs behind the interface.
Summaries, sales visualization, product counts, and recent activity.
Products, cards, users, finance, and internal access.
Order and payment states that make lifecycle work trackable.

State visibility
Designed for clarity at every stage.
Operational states were designed to communicate progress, reduce uncertainty, and support faster decision-making throughout the product lifecycle.
Product thinking
A tangible financial product needs an operational layer.
The interface treats the physical card as a product with inventory, state, and financial relationships behind the customer experience.

- Orders & paymentsTrack
- Transactions & financeReview
Shared vocabulary
Components as product proof, not a gallery.
Consistency matters when one product spans customer and admin surfaces.
Cross-surface consistency
The same concepts recur across the system.
Currency, card, value, status, transaction, and action remain recognizable wherever the product is being used or operated.
- Currency and value cards
- Product and card tiles
- Crypto/local-currency tabs
- Order and payment status chips
- Transaction rows

FINAL THOUGHTS
What This Project Represents
Poolocart was an opportunity to explore how product design can simplify a concept that is technically complex and emotionally unfamiliar. Rather than designing isolated screens, the focus was on building a connected experience where every touchpoint feels like part of the same product. From the public website to the mobile wallet and operational dashboard, every decision was guided by consistency, clarity, and trust. The goal was not simply to create an interface, but to design a product ecosystem that could scale as the business evolved.
More than anything, this project reflects my approach to product design: understanding systems before screens, reducing complexity without removing capability, and creating experiences that feel coherent from every user’s perspective.
